ABOUT MEDIATION?

Mediation is a process which assists parties in ending a dispute. It helps to resolve conflicts without the parties having to spend large amounts of resources, time and energy in a lengthy legal battle. The parties actually determine the outcome themselves.  This is different from a trial or arbitration, where the outcome of the matter is in the hands of a judge or arbitrator who makes a decision.  The mediator does not make a decision.  The parties do.

HOW MR. DANIELS CAN HELP

Mr. Daniels will assist you primarily by listening to you.  He will also listen to the person with whom you are in dispute, and he will prove that he listened to both sides.  Mr. Daniels understands that being heard, and knowing that you have been heard, is essential to create the conditions for reaching a resolution.

The parties will also have the opportunity to talk with Mr. Daniels outside each others' presence.  This is known as "caucusing".  Anything said to Mr. Daniels will remain confidential, unless Mr. Daniels is asked to disclose it.

Mr. Daniels has been a practicing attorney for over twenty years, handling a variety of civil matters for both plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of Business Law, Real Estate, Family Law, Inheritance and Probate, Employment Law, Personal Injury, and Defamation.  He has been a Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Superior Court and is an Arbitrator for the Court.  For more information, see Mr. Daniels' Attorney Website.

Mr. Daniels has completed the Los Angeles County Bar Association's 30-hour course for Certification in Mediation.
